Our town is Calling
Our town is Calling
You've heard the call, and you're ready to help. That's the most important step! We believe that a desire to give back shouldn't
be slowed down by complicated forms or endless searching. We've streamlined the entire process into three simple steps.
Find the local cause that truly speaks to you. Learn about our amazing partner organizations and the variety of ways you can directly contribute to their missions in Ferndale.
Our simple, unified interest form lets you easily express interest in multiple roles all at once—saving you the valuable time of contacting each organization individually.
We send your information directly to the partner organization once you submit. From there, they will be in touch to explore how you can best help our community.
"When we say volunteers make the food bank run, we mean that as literally as possible. With only a small staff, volunteers are performing the majority of the daily operational tasks that make the food bank work. The over 15,000 volunteer hours contributed each year not only makes our work possible but also makes addressing food insecurity a community effort. Our efforts to stop hunger in Whatcom County are fueled by the work of our volunteers."
— Sierra Crook, Executive Director, Ferndale Food Bank
"At the Ferndale Downtown Association, we know that our downtown isn’t just a spot on a map—it’s a community, a home, and a hub of connection. None of it would be possible without our incredible volunteers, who help with everything from event planning and execution to beautification projects. Your time, energy, and dedication bring our community to life, and we are deeply grateful for every one of you."
— Tosha Wade, Executive Director, Ferndale Downtown Assoc.
"I've loved being involved with so many events in our lifetime as a Ferndale resident! From pumpkin carving to best dressed business to art contests... it's been a joy. I'm a longtime volunteer here."
— Patti Sullivan, Volunteer, Ferndale Downtown Assoc.
